A peak detection algorithm is then applied to the synthetic omni-directional PDP to extract the angles of departure and arrival and the delay spread. An inverse Fourier transform is applied to obtain the channel impulse response. In each antenna position a 4-port Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) and frequency converters are used to record the frequency response in the desired bandwidth. Channel characteristics in an office and a conference room in the E-Band (80.5-86.5 GHz) are reported in ( ), from measurements performed with mechanical steering of directive antennas at both the transmitter and receiver, allowing a double-directional angular characterization in the azimuth plane. ![]()
